While some of the walks are open to the general public, most walks listed here are primarily intended for Ramblers members. CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle is a guided cultural walk through Southwark from the Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, to Tate Modern every third Saturday of the month, with a different focus each month depending on the season.
The Largactyl Shuffle is designed to encourage mental and physical well being, through art, exercise, humour and history, de-stigmatizing mental distress.
A great opportunity to learn new things about South London and hear stories you won’t find in guidebooks, meet new friends and have fun.
Along the route walkers will have the opportunity to visit CoolTan Arts and view artwork created by CoolTan participants in CoolTan Arts Independent Gallery.
The walk is free, voluntary donations are appreciated; all money donated goes towards the work of the charity and keeps the Largactyl Shuffle shuffling.

To get hold of a copy you can download it from their website (click link below), pick up a leaflet in Haringey's libraries, health centres and customer services centre or call 020 8489 1000 to request one.
Discover the history of Tower Hamlets through led and self-guided walks. Take part in popular guided walks led by Malcolm Barr-Hamilton, the Borough's Archivist. The walks take place during the summer, with each walk about two hour's duration.Copies of old maps and illustrations are supplied. There is a limit of 20 places on each walk and tickets [£3.00] must be obtained in advance.

East India Dock Road - Starts at Limehouse Station (DLR) and finishes at All Saints Station (DLR) - 20 July 7pm

The monthly ‘Largactyl Shuffle’ is a guided cultural walk designed to explore the correlation between mental and physical well being through art, history, humour and exercise. (The walk is named after the oldest anti-psychotic drug chlorpromazine, sold as Largactil in Europe, which had severe side effects and gave rise to a distinctive shuffling walk).
