Barking and Dagenham - Health Walks 1 - Monday

Mondays (all except bank holidays)

Short circular walk across permanent footpaths and grass. 


Start time and place: 12.45pm for 1pm start at Valence Park, Becontree Avenue, Dagenham - meet at Parks car park, next to Valence House Museum in Becontree Avenue.
More Information: Approximately 1.7 miles (35 to 40 minutes)
Accessibility: Good for beginners but not fully accessible to wheelchair users or push chairs. Walkers are advised to wear suitable and supportive footwear for walking.

Barking and Dagenham - Health Walks 4 - Thursdays

Thursdays

Circular Route through Mayesbrook Park across permanent footpaths.  Good for beginners and faster walkers. 


Start time and place: 9.45am for 10am start at Mayesbrook Park, Lodge Avenue, Dagenham meet in Mayesbrook Park Car Park, opposite the Round House Pub in Lodge Avenue.
More Information: Approximately 2.1 miles (50 Minutes)
Accessibility: Not fully accessible to wheelchair users or push chairs due to small hills / uneven ground. Walkers are advised to wear suitable and supportive footwear for walking.

Saturdays
A circular route is taken through the park.  Good for beginners and faster walkers.  Walkers are advised to wear practical and supportive footwear e.g. walking boots.

Start time and place: 10.45am for 11am start at Barking Park, Longbridge Road, Barking, meet at The Lodge Entrance to Parking Park in Longbridge Road (by the minature railway line)
More Information: Approximately 2 miles (1 hour) .
Accessibility: Permanent footpaths are followed making it suitable for wheelchair users and push chairs.

Barking and Dagenham - Health Walks 5 - Fridays

Fridays

Various circular routes through the Country Park are alternated over a number of weeks.  This walk is suited to the more experienced and walkers are advised to wear practical and supportive footwear e.g. walking boots.


Start time and place: 10am for 10.15am start at Eastbrookend Country Park, Dagenham Road, Dagenham, meet at Millennium Centre, Eastbrookend Country Park, Dagenham.
More Information: Various distances, the walk can last up to 1 hour.
Accessibility: Permanent footpaths are followed but the ground is very rough and uneven, making it NOT suitable for wheelchair users or push chairs.

Start time and place: 10.15am for 10.30am start at Parsloes Park, Gale Street, Dagenham, meet at Entrance to Parsloes Park on the corner of Gale Street and Ivyhouse Road
