Jubilee Walkway

Section 1 (The Western Loop walk)

Description:

A circular walk on the original Jubilee Walkway through the heart of the City with connections to many of the Capital's main tourist attractions.

Distance:

Approximately 6 miles ( Approximately 9 km)

Start:

The panel in the gardens at Leicester Square.

Finish:

The panel in the gardens at Leicester Square.

Recommended direction:

Anti-clockwise

Terrain and surface:

Mostly flat on pavements and beside the Thames or in Parks. Some steps at Westminster Bridge which can be avoided by going an alternative way.

Signage:

Directional discs are set in the footway at every junction, the cross of the crown pointing in the direction of travel.

Refreshments and toilets:

There are cafés and public toilets in Parliament Square (Broad Sanctuary) and St James's Park.

Public transport and breakpoints:

Tube and rail stations closest to this section include Leicester Square, Westminster, Waterloo, London Bridge, Tower Hill, Monument, Bank, Mansion House, City Thameslink and Covent Garden.

There are also many buses which connect the Walkway.
