Jubilee Walkway

Section 2 (The Eastern Loop walk)

Description:

A circular walk in the Eastern part of London following the River on the South Bank, crossing Tower Bridge and passing through the City back to the River across the Millennium Bridge.

Distance:

Approximately 5 miles ( Approximately 8 km)

Start:

The Tate Modern on the South bank of the River Thames.

Finish:

The Tate Modern on the South bank of the River Thames.

Recommended direction:

Anti-clockwise

Terrain and surface:

Mostly on pavements and riverside plazas.

Signage:

Directional discs are set in the footway at every junction, the cross of the crown pointing in the direction of travel.

Temporary Diversions:

As part of the redevelopment of Blackfriars rail station, a temporary diversion is in place on the South Bank. Please download the Network Rail leaflet (pdf) by clicking on the link under Route Downloads on the right hand side of this page for further details.

Falcon Point just West of Bankside Gallery,
near Western end of Clink Street
near All Hallows by the Tower church,
corner of Byward Street with Great Tower Street (just W of The Tower of London),
near Talbot Court near Monument tube,
Royal Exchange behind Bank of England.

Public transport and breakpoints:

Tube and rail stations closest to this section include Southwark, London Bridge, Tower Hill, Monument, Bank, Mansion House and Blackfriars.

There are also many buses which connect the Walkway.
